One of the hardest parts about having mental health problems is you often forget who you are. It's not something that you do on purpose, it's more that there are so many things in the way of you being able to see the good, that you only see the bad.

Thank you so much for posting your experiences. My daily struggle involves a fixation on the negative. Before bed a video repeats itself in my head of all the mistakes I made that day, and failing that it replays highlights of some of my most painful memories. I've come to rationalize it as a way to protect myself from making the same mistakes again, but I know that's not really what's going on there.
